So today Google announced that they are release an Operating System based off of the Chrome Browserin 2010. This is following up on the large success they have had with the Browser that they have created. Today there are over 30 Million users using the Chrome browser today.

In a blog post Google said that previous OS where not based off a web browser, and hence the reason for their new OS. Their OS will allow web appliations to run in and will be open across both PC and Mac based machines. By focusing on the web browser as a general platform for the OS, there is a hope that the battle of PC vs Mac wil start to dissappear. With more and more people spending time using a rowser and less traditional office applications this news is certainly worth watching to see how things progress.

Peace
